βTo everything there is a seasonβ is a proverb for a reason! My big issue these days isnβt necessarily finding the time to craft, itβs following through. I have multiple half-finished sweaters Iβm mad at because my gauge is off or I messed up the motif 12 rows back or something similar. I feel like I could stand to be more monogamous and intentional than I am. Sometimes having constraints is helpful that way.
Yeah, I have a few unfinished sweater projects that have been in timeout for years for the same reasons. Not sure if I should press on or scrap them and start over at this point.
I can see myself in so much of your story! Having young children just makes it difficult to do very much else for a while. I'm starting to slowly regain time to work on personal projects, but the main focus is still the kids, which means that everything happens much more slowly than before. I started a publication here on Substack so that I can remind myself of how much I am actually getting done, even when it feels like I've hardly spent any time on creative projects.
